Travel Post | Convent Station, New Jersey
Convent Station is home to a beautiful convent, a chapel, a college, and the most beautiful grounds, and of course our Great Aunt Pat! But first we had to get there... So we went down to the train station, found the right track, purchased tickets and waited to start our train journey.
Our train tickets: EWR > Convent Station
Waiting at the tracks
The grounds included the convent, and a full time college, so needless to say there are many yards, trees, and other gardens to explore.
Photos from our exploration of the grounds.
Inside the Holy Family Chapel
So, we were lucky enough to eat lunch with Aunt Pat and her fellow sisters. The cafeteria was fully stocked with great, cooked-from-scratch foods, and all the deserts you could think of!
Aunt Pat lived here in Alaska for many years. She is beloved by many in our small town as a 7th or 8th grade English teacher at our local private school. For the last few years she has been living back here at her home convent. We are so lucky and grateful to have her, and to have gotten to spend time with her while were down in New Jersey.
We even had our own reserved spot!
The grounds, the architecture ... it’s all beautiful.
We thoroughly enjoyed our visit, and we might just be back sooner than our Aunt Pat knows!

Until next time,
